Sirota's argument contradicts the bi-partisan political consensus that more & better education is the answer to America's competitiveness woes. The facts just don't support that consensus. For instance, wages for Americans with a 4-year college degree have decreased by 5.2%, while wages for those with only a high school education have risen 1.6%!
