FOX's bias on display in Gaza reporting

While today FOX's site displays video accusing the New York Times of "siding with Hamas," FOX shamelessly betrays its pro-Israel bias under the guise of fair & balanced reporting.  Just look at the article's title: "Israel battered by rockets," which, according to the slugline below "prompted Israel to return fire."  What impression does that leave with the reader?  And when you see "battered," how many rockets do you think of?  The article goes on to clarify that up to 5 rockets were fired from Lebanon on Thursday.  Do 5 little rockets qualify as a battering?

Israel responded with six of its own artillery shells.  Meanwhile, Israel has continued its previous "return fire" for Palestinian rockets: a 13-day campaign of air and tank bombings of Gaza, with Israel reporting "60 airstrikes on the Gaza strip in a single night."  At least 3,000 Palestinians have been wounded and 689 killed, vs. 10 Israelis killed. Of the Palestinians killed, about half were non-combatants, including 130 children.

In that context, doesn't two weeks of continuous Israeli air strikes, tank and mortar fire sound more like a "battering" to you?

While not reporting anything untruthful (that I know of), FOX buries the Palestinian casualties in the article and carefully crafts the false impression that this is a war of equals, but with fighting continually instigated by the Palestinians.  In fact, this fight is not even David vs. Goliath, it's Ant vs. Goliath.  (Guess which one is Israel).

Gee, I wonder why the Palestinians banned FOXNews from Gaza?

At least three rockets fired from Lebanon exploded in northern Israel on Thursday, the first since the Jewish state launched an offensive in Gaza two weeks ago, prompting Israel to return fire.
