Scary U.S. unemployment stats

Official U.S. unemployment per the DOL was at 8.9%, the lowest since Reagan in 1983; but real U.S. unemployment, adjusted, is estimated at 15.8% in April.

Official black male unemployment, adjusted, was 17.2% in April.  When things are bad, they're usually worse for children, old people, and black men.

Meanwhile, employers surveyed said they plan to hire 22% fewer graduates from the Class of 2009 compared to 2008.  Recent grads, look forward to getting to know your parents better....
