Thank God we don't live in Euro-socialist backwaters like Germany or France, because then we'd be out of our recession by now and back to our profligate ways, instead of belatedly learning to live within our means, pulling up our bootstraps, or trying to start an exciting new career outside the banking, automotive, manufacturing, retail, or construction sectors.
They'll be sorry their pain was so short-lived when they see how much character we've gained from this learning experience!
