Maybe McCain's shameful experience as one of the infamous Keating Five has informed his current belief in the need for sensible banking regulation. When it comes to financial sector reform, Obama's a lost cause: Wall Street was his biggest campaign contributor; and his administration is riddled with erstwhile bankers whose top priority is a return to the way things were right before the crash.
