KY militias' resurgence

Hey, Highlights fans, can you find the KY nutjob in this picture?

I'm glad to see my home state is as nutty or nuttier than many others. We won't be outdone!

Seriously though, how ignorant on the one hand, or powerless on the other, must these Kentuckians be if they think the only way they can oppose Obama's "socialist agenda" is by playing army in the woods and stockpiling guns and supplies?

Whom do they think they're "confronting" by dressing up and drilling in the woods? They matter absolutely zero. They're opposing nothing. All they're doing is encouraging some among their number to take violent revenge against symbols of their imaginary oppression. Pathetic.

Terrell, a veteran of the earlier era, said today's militia groups, including his own, are drawing members who are "scared" about what they see as an overreaching government trying to take over health care and private industry. Terrell's Web site explains that a "government gone wild" and "Obama's socialist agenda," are leading his group to "confront the threats to Freedom and the American way of life."
